Jason Blair (ATP, CFI/CFII, MEI) is an active single-and multi-engine flight instructor and FAA Designated Pilot Examiner with 5,000 hours total time and 3,000 hours of instruction given, and has issued more than 1,000 pilot certificates as an examiner. He is an accredited Master Flight Instructor and active NAFI member who writes for multiple aviation publications and works widely within the general aviation industry.

Jeff Jorgenson is a certified flight instructor, Navy veteran and aircraft owner, and the author of Open Air: How People Like Yourself Are Changing the Aviation Industry (2017), written to inspire his kids and others about aviation and presenting it as an ideal STEM learning platform. He founded Open Air Flight Club, an aviation youth organization that brings aviation-centric STEAM curriculum to K-12 educators, and received the Minnesota Aviation Hall of Fame 2019 Writing Award.

Robert “Bob” Meder earned his CFI in 2001 and has since added single-engine and multi-engine instrument certificates. Recently retired from 40+year career with a major western railroad as a director in the Safety Department. In that role, he established the company’s drone program, working with the FAA on drone regulations while continuing to instruct. With 6,000+ hours of dual instruction, Bob specializes in training new flight instructors, emphasizing risk management and critical thinking.
A FAASTeam Lead Rep, Bob was named District and Regional Flight Instructor of the Year in 2009 and 2010. After nearly a decade as NAFI Chair, Bob continues to serve on NAFI’s board. At the time of the NAFI Professional Development Program and PDC Live @ OSH broadcasts, Bob Meder was NAFI Chairman of the Board.
