More instructors become quite good at teaching the skills needed to succeed on FAA Practical Tests flying the airplanes in their training fleet. When providing Flight Reviews, IPC and transition training in other aircraft types, however, there are often changes in technique required to accomplish tasks and maneuvers driven by the specific characteristics of the airplane being flown, and critical safety procedures and information that result from the unique systems of that specific airplane’s design. A good recurrent session becomes great by including type-specific training; it’s vital when providing transition training to present the airplane’s unique procedures and techniques. How do you get the type-specific knowledge you need to provide this critical training? Aircraft Type Clubs have resources for flight instructors. This program will explore the resources available to you through Type Clubs, often available free to instructors. Topics we’ll cover include: The case for type-specific training What is a Type Club, and why are they so important to airplane owners and pilots? How to find instructional resources applicable to the airplane in which you’ll instruct What resources are available through Type Clubs that, although not specific to the airplane you’re flying, provide additional information to apply to instructing in any aircraft? Viewers will be able to type in their questions to be answered during the event. We’ll explain how to do so at the beginning of the webinar.
